Well i have found a good website that is absoulutly free. I made one and i love it. It is www.freewebs.com. it is easy to use and i am glad that i joind up. Also if you are feeling stuck then you can look at the guid that will take you through everything you need to know. You can put pictures and type all you want. If you get a website (whether it is freewebs or not) a good place to get fun things for it is Pyzam.com. I like it and i hope you like it too!

Creating website using the Geocities is free. Once you access the web page http://geocities.yahoo.com, the web site address will be like www.geocities.com/Yahooname that you can give to other people to view your web site. However, limitation is there for Hourly data transfer rate for your web site address. The initial Geocities web page provides the complete information about site status, site activity. Good luck for your web site.

my advice is not to try to go indepth into the html books, becus i read one about two inches thick and only covered the basics. the best choice for a personal site would be a free site that offeres pre written code, that you can personalize. but if u really feel like hitting the books, more power to you, but i would stick with the free site, plus reading and programming can take more than a week for a basic site

⺠I would recommend using NVU editor (www.nvu.com), it's free and wont tie you down to one method of editing. NVU pages can be transferrable to frontpage or dreamweaver html editor
⺠For free hosting, try google pages pages.google.com or yahoo geocities ,
its sort of free hosting, but you are limited to a subdomain on googlepages & geo has ads on your website - otherwise I would use http://www.interkeys.com/tophosts to get one for a few bucks a month with 500 GIG bandwidth and the rich with features
its up to you how developed a site you want and if you want to use your own domain name

If you don't wanna get your hands too dirty. There is a way of creating web pages directly in your browser using www.metoobeta.com. Seems pretty easy to create web pages. It is currently in beta but looks like it going to be really powerful

You can use Yahoo Site Builder or GeoCities. They are easy and should explain how to do it.
