I'd say being a millionaire...
Kings have a responsibility to their people,and they can get ousted pretty badly...(and lose everything they have in an instant)
At least millionaires have more freedom..(and can save their cash in a bank in case something goes wrong)

Gee whiz - I think I'll have to go for the millionaire today, especially since King in the olden days or not I would still be just as dead today.

King of england during 1700s, as you wouldn't have known about the internet and flushed toilets and would have had the small bonus of being the most powerful person in the world.
Edit: By the way, not all millionaire are self and money obsessed wiwerdos who have no life and are depressed... money may not be able to buy happiness, but it can deffinately help! ut it this way, would you say no to £1,000,000?

Definitely a millionaire today. I would want to have earned my place in society and my money.
Kings in olden days were constantly usurped, forced to marry women they didn't know or didn't like for political reasons, they had to watch their legitimate children squabble over succession (Mary I and Elizabeth I; Mary even had Elizabeth locked up while Mary was in power), try to overthrow their father (George IV tried to usurp George III), murdered by their uncles (Edward V and his brother the Duke of York, Richard Shrewsbury murdered by Richard III),and their beloved illegitimate children not be recognized in law as heirs to the throne, even if the royal couple was without legitimate issue (Duke of Monmouth superceded by Charles II's brother, James II).
I think Kings in the old days were probably very sad figures.

Neither one. How many millionaires are really happy? They spend their time worrying about their money. Money doesn't mean a thing compared to family and health.
And no one would want to be royal, and spend their lives without a shred of privacy.
