I think the music was awesome, but the music now is better. The time that we had back in the 80's was very memorable as it was completely different from anything else. I was way young, like 5-15 to be exact, and i can totally remember. Everyone wanted to be a valley girl and the clothes were so "far out" LOL!!!

I think SOME of the music is better, well not better but equal to. Every decade has the good stuff and then the crap, hello WHO LET THE DOGS OUT??? I do like alot of music from then but the 60's had some great tunes also, as did the 90's even some, not much from the 70's. Even in the new millenium, try some Snow Patrol, Evans Blue, Hinder, just to name a few...give other decades a shot. If you really give it a try, I promise you won't be let down.

I'd say some 80s music is better than music from any other decade.

This old bird agrees with you! I can't get a good radio station at work so I had my son set me up with LimeWire and iTunes. So now I download 80's music and burn my own CD's to listen to. Keep on jammin brother....

The 80's music was probably the best the world will ever see. Loud guitars, big hair, and leather. Glad that someone else agrees!!

80s music is all about feeling good. today's music features men in black mascara screaming (not singing) their lungs out. i guess they feel a lot more "cooler" if they look and act "depressed" and hate everybody.

It had its moments, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M., Prince. But there is too much electronics and long music intro riffs that go on forever, so while I respect it I'd have to say the1960's Rules.
