hell is a separation from HIM. this is a place,that is yet to be determined by our limited perceptions.do you have a person of god that you can talk to. how about a friend in Jesus that can help you with these questions. i am sure that one of the other people that answer your question will be able to help you. it is true that god forgives sin and gives life eternally, hell is a very hard answer when you think about mercy. put your hand around evil for a SECOUNT and hell is not so difficult to understand. He is not entirely merciful. He is a God of love and wrath. He extended all his mercy on the cross. He is not going to force anyone to believe on him. Those who do will go to heaven. Those who don't go to hell. It has nothing to do with works you do ( Ephesians 8:9) If we were good enough to make it on our own ,Jesus would have never had to shed his blood on the cross. God created this world. Sin is destroying it. If you are on God's side- you'll go to his place. If you deny him then you are on Satan's side- you will go to his place.
Study the Bible for yourself. Pray. Then you'll see.

Hell.... why is there hell??? Hell is there for all the people who disagree or don't believe in God. God is.... well... (i think) you have to believe in him and if you kill... lets say 349 people... but ask for forgiveness then u go to "heavan". BUT if u don't believe in him or don't agree with everything he says.. but you're a GOOD person (never stole, killed anyone, etc.) you still go to hell!? What kind of bullshit is that???? I AM NOT AN ATHEIST!!!

there is a hell & we have a choice (freewill). everyone has the opportunity to go to heaven. but most people are too busy, ignorant, self absorbed to care.
