Byron Perkins is a fugitive, a convicted bank robber and drug dealer who was imprisoned, awaiting his next trial which would determine his fate under the law. He was also a father, of a boy Destin who had been suffering from kidney failure. Last year, Byron pleaded before the judge to led him to donate his kidney to his already diagnosed son (the mother's kidney didn't match). The judge granted him temporary leave to do this, but when the day to do the transplant came, he took off with his girlfriend to Mexico and is still being pursued by the U.S. Marshalls. Destin got a kidney last September, so he's doing great now. Many people have been emotionally moved since this incident occured...what a sensation. Is it really necessary for the media to publicize stories like this? It's just a bunch of emotional crap used to keep viewers interested, IMO. http://www.amw.com/fugitives/case.cfm?id=37901

The media is supposed to keep us INFORMED of important information. That's why we have freedom of the press, to expose the evils of our government, not to give us useless crap. The media gets abused for entertainment purposes, when it should be keeping us informed of the evils happening in this country. Our founding fathers would be spinning in their grave seeing how the media conducts itself nowadays.
