Have another one when the first one gets out of diapers, they get expensive.but dont have them too far apart, it is easier when they are close in age, they can occupy eachother.

Personally I would wait 2-3 years. You should let your wife's body recover from the first pregnancy. It's not healthy having one after another. My girlfriend had her second son when her first was only 7 months, she was having a hard time with carrying a baby while pregnant. If you wait, your first child would be old enough to walk and be independent, then she can have the time and patience to care for the little newborn. You and your wife should think about how she will deal with both child being so small. You guys have to think if you are going to be home with her to care for two young children. My girlfriend is a stay at home mom and her husband took 6 months parental leave to help with the second son. It's alot harder than we all think and expensive too as everyone else has mentioned. My daughter is 6 months old and I don't think I want another one until she's 3-4, then she can help mommy with taking care of her little sibling. Good Luck.

When you feel that you two are ready. My kids are both April babies and are almost two years apart and are good friends, my thrid is three years younger then the middle child and gets a lot of attetion, but for your second it makes it easier when they are able to help out by the time the baby is born. It is like I said before when you two fell up to having another one

First I want to say I don't have kids, but I did take a lot of parenting classes because I took a lot of sociology classes and child psychology classes in college. Most of the books recommended 2-3 years after your first one to have your 2nd one, but it is your personal choice...have your second baby whenever you feel you are ready...mentally, financially, and, when you think your other family members will be ready. Good luck and congratulations on your first one!!! =)

you should wait until you're comfortable with the child you have now. I was 3 when my parents had my sister.

they get expensive, buddy. i'd wait untill the first has graduated college. then when you are lonely and feeling down 'cause your little one left the roost. you'll have another to look foward too.
