How did you determine ovulation? W/ ovulation kits or by charting your fertility signs? Charting is MUCH more accurate.

If you had intercourse prior to ovulation and fertile cervical fluid was present, the sperm could have easily survived 5 days while waiting for ovulation. Once an egg is released, it lives 12-24 hours. About 10% of the time, a woman released another egg w/in 24 hours of the first. This egg would also live 12-24 hours. That gives a fertile time of about 5 days prior to ovulation if fertile cervical fluid is present and up to 2 days after. However, cervical fluid dries up pretty quickly after ovulation, so the best time for intercourse is before ovulation.

If you are not already I highly recommend charting your fertility signs. Your chart can tell you when you are fertile, when you are not, when you are ovulating, when to expect your next period, and when to suspect pregnancy. Your chart can also tell you if there are issues delaying conception or causing difficulty w/ carrying a pregnancy and if there are serious issues which need a doc's attention.

Some good sources for charting your fertility signs: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility

Yes, but I would use an ovulation kit. Don't be so anxious, because that can cause you to be stressful and then you won't conceive. Male sperm can live for up to 48 hours so if you have sex a day or two before ovulation, you can conceive. Try to stay calm and actually forget that you are trying for a baby and just enjoy your love life and you will soon be pregnant. In fact get away together for a romantic weekend at a Bed and Breakfast and just enjoy lovemaking and being together, breakfast in bed, long walks together, candlelight dinner and I assure you you will have that baby you want so much. Relax. I wish you well.

You can certainly get pregnant if you had sex on the 26th, and ovulated on the 27th, and if you didn't...March 1st may have done it, depending on whether your ovulation test pinpointed the actual ovulation or not! It takes your egg up to 48 hours before it begins to disintigrate once it's released from your ovary, so you have at least 2 full days for the sperm to find it! Good luck!

If you ovulated on 27th and had sex on 26th then you could be pregnant as sperm hangs around for 2-3 days. However having sex after the 27th is of no use to that egg.

it is a possibility because semen will live in the women's body for 72-96 hours. So, if you had unprotected intercourse on the 26th and you ovulated on the 27th, there is a possibility...
wait 2 weeks after when your period should have started and do an early morning pee HPT for confirmation...
good luck
