On my map I have "London, England 51 32 N 0 5 W", so that is somewhere close...

According to my google earth, that longitude/latitude is the intersection of Broad Sanctuary and Little George Street, slightly south of Big Ben. Is this where you took your reading from? the exact coordinates will vary depending on where in England you are.

Wikipedia says so.
Note that 1" of latitude is about 3 metres, and 1" of longitude is about 2 metres. So the given location is very precise, it is on the street just south of Lord Nelson.
