I was prepared to give a smart answer that the garden gnomes drove him around in a limo. Since it was your daughter who asked, you should tell her that ALL rabbits are "appointed' to be the Easter Bunny on that day, That's the only way to get all the jobs done, (Coloring eggs, hiding them, setting out baskets etc,)

"Here comes Peter Cottontail
Hopping down the bunny trail....."

He's got those huge back legs for good reason. Has to hop, too. He has all those candy eggs and things to carry with his "arms"

Hmm, according to the song he goes hippity hoppity. So I suppose he hops where he needs to go.

He rolls in all the money spent on chocolate eggs. (It's true, isn't it? But don't tell her that)
