Why are people picky about skin color i mean it doesn't matter. But people are treating other's just wrong about skin color. It's just wrong to me.

most people aren't. it's just a select few. it is definitely wrong. i don't like when people act like that. it's awful.

It doesn't even have be skin color for people to hate other people...Now, even religion has become a prejudiced issue. Prejudiced is not something that you are born with, it's a learned thing. If no one was ever taught to hate people, then there would be no racism. Parents need to stop teaching hate to their children and tell them instead to love everyone for who they are, not the color of their skin, or the religion they follow.

It is wrong unless the person knows they are joking. People make fun of me for being extremely pale but I know they are joking. Some people are not joking and think everyone should be this perfectly tanned person where almost all the time it is not a real tan anyways.

Because even though people want to be seen as people first...we all have a heritage and want to be true to it also. People have trouble understanding that it's okay to be equal, AND different. We don't all have to be alike...or blind to race. What's important is that we get to a point where we can share our lifestyles without being criticized for it, treat each other with respect, and see each other as equals. Race differentiation doesn't have to be negative. Diversity is a good thing!

PPL will spend hours and hundreds of dollar's tanning, or bleaching their skin . They are not happy with themselves so they have to pick on others. doesn't make a bit of sense to me...there is beauty to be found in ALL skin colors

I think for some people it goes a lot further than just skin color. Cultures clash, they always have and they always will.

color represents culture...not all cultures mesh, like religion, no reason to kill over it, but they do anyways...

don't know, maybe it has to simply do with preference? or maybe there's a deeper racist dimension. personally i haven't been sexually attracted to people who are too pale or stark black but i have friends who span the spectrum.
