Remind me how good of a job Dallas did of putting pressure on the quarterbacks last season? Didnt they shut down all the teams they played down the stretch in December because the QB didnt have any time to throw the ball? No, wait, they lost 4 of the last 5 including the playoffs, and allowed 14 TD passes in December.

I think picking porter will be a good choice for us. Cause if we look at it. When Greg Ellis went out our D started to go down hill from there. Ellis had a hell of a year and was really a good player on stopping the run and even was good to stop Bush. I really didnt' see Dallas stop him when we got creamed in home field. Do we know for a fact that he will be the same Greg Ellis as he was last season? I think Porter will be good for our def. and under Wade Phillips. He can also be a good mentor for Bobby Carpenter which showed potential at the end of the season and the Seawhawk game. We can use more weapons to get to the QB cause we didn't last season like we should of. Also think that they can use Porter as a Inside Linebacker. That will boost Roy, Ware , and other weapons to get to the QB more then they did last season. After Ellis got hurt the only person that got to the QB the most and stop runs was Ware. I say we should sign him and our chances got higher when New England signed Thomas.

I agree Dallas has some very good LB.
But, if we can get a talent like Porter at the right price, why would you want to pass that up?
Depth is always a good thing at any position.

I actully dont think so. Even though the Pats are gonna sign Adalius Thomas, they may also look to sign Joey Porter because the patriots are thin at that position.
Thomas and Porter in a Patriots uniform, what a sight it would be........!!

will jerry jones spend money to get him? yes. will he waste his first round pick bobby carpenter on the bench? no. even if they put greg ellis back at defensive end jerry jones has built this team to a point where a dramatic change wouldn't help. but i don't know, we didn't think he would sign T.O. but he did.

you know what man i love Dallas, and our D is sick!!!!!!! i think porter will hurt us more then he would help us because, he's old and hey might cost way too much. and we haven't even given bobby a real chance so i say pass on porter... we need D-backs
