Can ppl. just not be their natural color and be beautiful?

We don't, that's just another one of those BS things that fashion magazines use to sell copies, right along with being skinnier than a rake, or having unnaturally large breasts.
Stop believing whatever Vogue or Cosmo tell you and just be yourself, that's all us guys want.

What are you talking about?
I don't! I like natural colours, whatever the colour is.
If I see a person with a fake tan, I think that they are fake.
Sometimes it's hard to tell though. Some people who are fair-skinned may have just gone on a really enjoyable holiday in the sun. Good for them. Sounds fun.
I don't particularly like it when people purposely tan though, even naturally at the beach. I just think that they haven't been clued in to what's happening in the atmosphere. I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with someone like that because they'll die of cancer and ignorance.
Anyway, if you look around the world, many people have images of the palest women as the most beautiful. Go to a cosmetics counter in Asia and look at the price of whitening formulas.
I'm not an advocate of paler skin being any nicer than any other skin. Sometimes I see these incredibly dark-skinned women and they look so incredibly beautiful.
The fact is, anyone with any real sense of taste at all doesn't think the way you're talking about. Some might say things, but even then, I don't think people would really think that. It's just too obvious when you see all these beautiful people of different colours.
Come to Toronto. You'll see what I'm talking about.

I'm white but tan really easily and get pretty dark in the summer time. I used to go to the tanning bed as well during the winter time but not that much anymore.My boyfriend actually prefers me pretty much my natural color. So maybe he's an exception, I don't know.

Not ALL men want white women to be tan/dark. Maybe the one your talking about, though.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If he does not like you for who you are he's not worth it ...and the ugliest of all.

Not dark but somewhat tan. Really fair skin looks a bit anemic. Dark skin also indicates someone who likes the outdoors.

don't go out of your way for those worthless people that say that. the natural color allways looks the best and besides, confidence matters more!! people just need to know that they are beautiful. I'm caucasion (sp.) and tan but sometimes i wish i weren't. the grass is allways greener on the other side.

Yes people should love to be natural but if they feel pale as hell,they tan.

if ur tan u luk healthier, thinner, and sexy...i dont get tan for guys, i get tan to feel better about myself
