limeaway works well on rust and hard water stains. If you need a heavier duty cleaner, try a product called foamy q & a. It is acid based, but it will clean you shower, toilet and even your shower head. You can generally find it at plumbing stores. Make sure you use the precautions it recommends.

You cab use Hydrogen peroxide with some cream of tartar, apply and let sit for 10 Minutes Scrub with a Stiff Brush. or you can also try making a paste of Baking Soda and Vinegar and then scrubbing it.

if all cleaning fails, you can paint over it. There is paint for the porcelain, you just apply over it just like you do with the touch-up paint for the cars. I forgot what it's called, but you can find it at Lowe's, Home Depot.

put some bleech on it first mix bleech (clorox) with pine oil then second mix grime away then scrub then do once more but let set then scrub again then it should come off

use Bar cleaner sold at Lowe's,like comet but not as abrasive.then if you wanted it pretty,apply a coat of trees wax,a product name.
