I am having Breast Reduction soon to be taken down from a 34G to a 34D-DD and mine is being done for vanity reasons as I'm only 21 but also for medical because I do have back, shoulder, neck pain and am beginning to have a curvature of the spine. Depending on the size of your breasts, you will be covered if you have medical insurance and hospital cover.
There are techniques such as straight liposuction which can be used to reduce the breasts, but I have seen these results and they don't look very good. The breasts will still sag except they will be smaller but the will appear saggier because of the excess skin. The only way to properly do this is with Reduction surgery.

My surgeon is performing the Le Jour incision which does leave less scarring that the Anchor incision and gives you better results. My incision will actually look like an old fashioned key hole and then at the end it will be pulled together and I will only have a scar running around my nipples and vertically down under the nipple.

My surgery is costing me AU $10,500. I will get back $900 from Medicare and then 20% back from Health Tax so it will take it back to about $7000. The price varies depending on your level of cover (Hospital, Private Health) and which hospital you have the4 surgery performed at.

I hope this helps you, good luck!!

There are a few types of incisions for breast reduction.

LeJour, which is cutting around the nipple, then down to the bottom of the breast, and its also known as the Lollipop method.

Anchor, which adds a "smiley face" incision around the bottom of the breast.

Here are the types of incisions: http://www.breasthealthonline.org/cgi-bin/mwf/topic_show.pl?tid=48939

I had the anchor incision and my scars are healing very nicely, 95% gone and I had mine a year ago.

That site/board also helped me out a lot with my questions and concerns regarding my breast reduction.

Cervical pain would not be because of your breasts, that just sounds strange.

My insurance covered mine 100% and cost $8,000. Some cover it between 50-100%. Look for a PS in your health insurance plan.

whoa, i dont even get your question!!! how does breast size cause cervical pain? do u actually have cervical pain? that could be something else altogether, your breasts have nothing to do with vaginal or cervical discomfort.....if youre having pain down there get your gyn to check it out!!!

also a laparoscope is a tiny instrument. a breast reduction involves removing a LOT of tissue. how can this be done by a laparascope which only makes a teeny tiny incision?
