toys r us has a lbaby gymnastic ball toss for $19.99, laugh and learn phone that makes lots of noise and has lots of lights for $13.99, you could always do a gift card since you are short on time....good luck

try to get thick colorful that has a whistle in the blowup hole. any time he gets on it will go off. but that might be a big bother to other family members.
