Most people would say The Beatles; others might think The Doors or Queen... all because of that romantic fatidic fate. But the really greatest of them all is The Rolling Stones. They have stayed together, talentendly productive and on the road for more than 40 years... and still rolling on.

Why would anyone think that staying together makes a band the greatest???? You should consider how they affected the times and people. You should consider if there sound was unique and changed the way people listened and/or danced. The Beatles changed people and music and then they changed to fit the world around them.

Although it's first instinct to say Nirvana or The Doors, it's Red Hot Chili Peppers cause they survived what those two bands couldnt (Heavily drug addicted front man amongst ever things)
