3.7 is certainly credible, though nothing is ever guaranteed. It depends on which school you went to, which classes you took, and where you're applying to. Most admissions programs do not go solely on grades, though it's always an important factor.

Lowest GPA I know of that got into med school was 3.1, but it's an admittedly limited sample.

It depends on what school you are attending while you have this 3.7 GPA. At some schools this is a noteworthy achievement, while at others it just means that you do your homework and study for tests. Also, medical schools don't just want a nerd who has a perfect GPA. They like applicants who are well-rounded and involved in various extracurricular activities, especially if you are considered a leader in any particular organization. They may be more willing to accept a 3.0 GPA with a diverse background and community involvement over someone who has a 4.0 GPA and spends all their time in the library.
