Mine have lived till they where about 9 or 10. They where all rescue Guinea Pigs so they where old already when I got them. But I had them for 3 to 5 years and most of them where anywhere between 5 and 7 years old.

Though most live anywhere from 5 to 8 years, but some have been known to live longer then that.

well my guinea pig is still alive but the normal lifespan for a guinea pig is 5-8 years of age. it is ok if it lives longer because he must be happy!

My son had 2 guinea pigs as pets. They both did great for about a year.....until I plugged in one of those insect and rodent repellers (you know what I mean...one of those that is supposed to ward off spiders, bugs and rodents from entering your home). They both struggled about a week, fighting for their lives, quivering with every breath they took.....then they died. I cried after I realized it was me who killed them. They are both buried in the side yard under the pine trees. I take it you're not having any luck with your guinea pig?

I had one that lived to be I think... 6 or 8. She had babies that we gave away. and then she had more babies, (imbred) and one of them only lived a few months and another lived about a year. Of the ones we gave away I have no idea how long they lived.
