I had bleeding at 9 weeks. It was more than a little--it was bright red and filled half a pad really quickly. I went to the doctor and we saw and heard the heartbeat on the sonogram. When the doctor went over the sonogram with me, he explained that there was blood pooled behind the placenta where it attached to the uterine lining. I asked him if that was dangerous and he said that it was quite normal and that the blood would either get absorbed into the lining or bleed out. Well, it bled out. I had spotting at around 11 weeks and 13 weeks. I had one tiny spot when wiping at 14 weeks. Long story short, my baby boy was born a healthy 9 lbs 4 oz on 12/12/06.
I would say it's pretty normal after having had bleeding at 11 weeks. I'd call the doctor anyway--I ended up in the doctor's office just for reassurance every single time I spotted.

I never had any spotting, but everyone's always told me that if it's brown then it's "old blood" and generally not a cause for concern. Bright red blood would be more of a concern because it would be a new bleed.
Bleeding doesn't necessarily mean a miscarraige. It could be a hematoma, a minor cervical bleed, etc. I would suggest calling the dr and demanding that they give you an ultrasound to check on the baby. If that doesn't work, go to the ER and tell them that you're 11 wks and had some spotting, and they'll do an ultrasound there.

I particularly have experienced this in 2 out of three of my pregnancies. reckoning on the quantity of blood you spot, and the colour, it will be implantation bleeding. it may also take position after sex or a vaginal exam. Brown blood is common and is seen "previous blood," and magnificent red is new blood, it truly is of route no longer what you want to make certain. i could likely proceed to computer screen it and see how lengthy it lasts, and perhaps supply your well being care service a call. there is not any favor to hurry to the ER as some posters advise, because if you're having a miscarriage, God forbid, there is no longer something the well being care service can do to stay away from it at this aspect. In both circumstances of bleeding that I had, it became actual heavy recognizing. once became about an afternoon after sex, the different time became an afternoon after an inner exam. My well being care service did not imagine that became the reason, yet because it had got here about before, i became suspicious. In both circumstances, an ultrasound became accomplished and in no way something became printed except a healthful toddler boy. both babies are completely frequent and healthful. :) some bleeding may be frequent, reckoning on the guy. and some women individuals bleed because of both an annoyed cervix or because of placental subject matters, which typically make certain themselves because the uterus grows more suitable and the placenta strikes out of how. once you do not have any cramping, i could evaluate that a good signal. attempt to relax and in no way panic. with somewhat of luck it isn't something! :)

About 20-30% of women experience spotting during the first trimester, and often the cause can not be found.
I had it with all 4 of my pregnancies, and all my babies are fine.
However, if you are experiencing bright red bleeding, and/or if you are having cramping pain felt low in the stomach you should see your doctor right away as these could be signs of a miscarriage.
Good luck!!!

You're not paranoid. It's normal to be concerned about bleeding, regardless of how little the amount.
I spotted the first trimester too & nothing came of it. Try not to worry...just stay up-beat & think about the little person growing inside you. Soon enough it will be time to hold that precious child...hang in there & congratulations!

It can be normal for some women to have spotting even a normal period while pregnant. The only way you will know is blood tests and ultrasounds.

It is not normal,no. But some people have had it on here that I have seen. I never have. I have heard of people put on bed rest and were spotting and the baby made it. Keep postive. Believe the best.

No one can be for sure. Just try to relax and let the days pass by. Stress can create problems, and you don't want that. I wish you the best.
