Evanescence is the best band ever! Amy Lee is amazingly talented and a very gifted songwriter.
Anyone who says they hate the band probably just does't have the capacity to comprehend the talent and depth infused within their music.

I don't hate them but it's hard to listen to them at length or over time. I definitely have to be in the mood, the thing I can point to is the lead singer's voice.
She's got a nice voice is a certain range but unfortunately her range is really limited, and not that great otherwise. Most people will say that because of this, all their songs sound the same.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinions.
Evanescence is my favorite band, so I guess I wouldn't know exactly, but I do have a few guesses.
*They get accused of being a Lacuna Coil ripoff
*A lot of people don't understand their lyrics.
*Some people find Amy's voice annoying.
*To some people, all of their songs sound the same.
*Evanescence's lyrics are too dark for some people.
*People think that Amy Lee's personality is too bubbly to write such dark songs
*People are sick of Amy being so anti-Britney Spears
For some reason, there was/is a stage where Evanescence was the band that it was "cool to hate."

No, I hate the Cubs the most, then the Twins, then the pink Wings, then the Packers so i guess I hate 2 communities from baseball earlier I hate communities from the different sport. i'm a White Sox, Blackhawks, Bears fan btw.

I love Evanescence also. Everyone has their opinions. If everyone liked the same thing, this world would be a boring place.

Well I really like them, but my dad thinks that her voice sounds like nails on a chalkboard. I actually like Evanescence though.

Because they showed up at the Spirit West Coast and made like they were a Christian band. Then when the Christians were sufficiently conned, they say, "Why the f*** would anyone think that [we're Christian]?!"

I don't hate them. I just don't like their songs. Everyone likes different things and that is what makes us unique. However hating is not something good. Why hate??

umm....i thought their first album was ok but with the songs their comin out with i dont like....i think the lead singer of LACUNA COIL Cristina Scabbia has a better singin voice than that amy girl.
