we are naming our child elizabeth, but what should her nickname be? do you like libby?

Yes! Elizabeth is my absolute favorite name for a girl ever, and i compliment your choice for the name.... i always said my first daughter would be named Elizabeth, and i would call her "Beth" for short.... I have never really heard of anyone called Elizabeth with the nickname "Libby" but i think it IS really cute.... All i can say is that i DO NOT LIKE the nickname "Liz"... it's too common and i dont know, it just doesnt appeal to me at all.

I like Libby, it's not ugly or over-used.
When we were pregnant, we decided on Elizabeth for a girl too. Her nickname was going to be "Zibby". And one of the girls I worked with was Liz-a-bee. There are so many choice for that name, it's wonderful!

I think that LIbby is cute. I like it because it isn't used nearly as much as Liz or LIzzie and also is so much more feminine and old fashioned...
I REALLY like Elisabeth with an "s" and the nickname Elise or Elsie too.
I LOVE Ellie as a nickname also. And Beth is pretty but very popular also.

My favorites would be Liza, Betsy, and Libby in that order. That being said, I'm not really a nickname person and I would call her Elizabeth all the time! I am mom to Benjamin and Abigail (not Ben and Abbey)!! Good luck!

Libby is my favorite nickname for Elizabeth. I also like Liza & Beth. Elizabeth is such a pretty name, though, that you really can't go wrong with any nickname for it. Good Luck!

My name is Elizabeth and my family and very old friends call me Lizzie and everyone else calls me Liz. I'm glad that Libby is not my nickname.

My neighbors name was Libby short for Elizabeth, I like it. Liza, Liz, Lisa, Lizzie, and Beth are other names. I like Liza the best or Libby. Best of luck to you

I like Libby better than Liz or Lizzy. My personal choice would probably be Beth or Bethy. Libby runs a close second though.
