If I know the person is mixed, that's what they are to me.
I have never understood why you have to be one or the other.
However, on appearances only it can be very difficult sometimes to discern that a person is mixed at all. I have a little mixed race cousin that looks completely black. But, I don't exactly lose sleep over what possible race someone is.

I see mulattos as mulattos. They aren't one or the other, they're both.I think others consider the person white or black based on their skin color....There's a girl on America's Next Top Model this season that is half black and I never would've known if they didn't say so.But I bet they still consider her white...because she looks it.

If I have to choose between one of the 2, I'd say black.

Black. But I also perceive him/her as advantaged over darker Blacks. I'm White, but I know Blacks envy their lighter brothers and sisters. It's too bad because it's just conditioning. I hope all the races get busy mixing so we can go about enjoying each other just for the person we are.

"Race" is a form of labeling something that doesn't really exist. Every individual has their own genetic configuration, and we all share common ancestors. In many countries you don't go around trying to clasify everyone.

Both. And you should NOT call her a mulatto. It's very offensive. She's mixed or bi-racial.
