It is now one month since Microsoft launched Windows Vista.

The much awaited operating system raised expectations of an all round better online experience, with an improved interface and security tools.

But users have reported problems with installation.

What are your experiences of using Vista? Have you been able to just upgrade your old computer or did you have to buy a new one? Was Vista worth the wait?

PROS
Other than the fact that I had to convert my HD to an NTFS system from FAT32 before I had to install I havent run into any problems with installation.

Nice interface

Fairly decent programs

CONS
Slow

Unstable- Its already crashed twice in one month and Ive been using Vista for basic use.

That user account control is annoying.

Too many compatibility issues

As above via without type - there is no situation - Lexmark have been in front of the sphere with updating their utility for XP - the driving force obtain takes a minute or 2 at max - under no circumstances had any difficulty setting up stuff with Vista, apart from SonyEricsson utility for my cellular - they're incredibly in the back of and lame to assert the least. To be honest - I incredibly have constantly had problems with HP kit even decrease back to Win ninety 8 - no count if or no longer it incredibly is a digital camera, printer or computing device - they have all been crap to be honest.

Until the price gouging that is happening in Europe to subsidise US consumers stops, I'm not even considering looking or having anything to do with Vista. The way MS treats it's UK customers is nothing short of a disgrace!

My experience with Microsoft in general is to wait 2-3 years before upgrading, and then only if you have to! ;-)
