The Special Olympics is especially for athletic with an intellectual disability. They get a medal. It more for fun and fitness then winning.

It should not be confused with the Paralympics which is for elite athletic with physical or vision disability

There is also the Deaf Olympics for the deaf

you don,t get prize but ribbins or metals. i have a lot of metals i been doing special olympics since 1992

they get thesame as the real olmpics it is just for peopel that ahve diaabilitys that is the only differece if you can do the sport han you can play
