Can someome help me, please? Everytime I try to free some space on my H: Drive the computer freezes and makes this noise. A little bubble always pops up at the bottom of the screen telling me that I need to clear space but when I try it to it makes noise and whatnot.

There are certain things I can't do on my computer because of taken up space on the H drive. I tried to clear it in Safe Mode but the same thing happens and my system restore is suspended on both of my drives now. Can someone please help me :((((((

Thank you, very much appreciated

It sounds like you have so much on your hard drive you cannot even run a delete program.
If you can't delete anything in the recycle bin, or if you can't delete anything from you internet explorer options, without taking the drive out of the computer I would try one thing.
Shut down the computer.
When you restart it, instead of going to safe mode, go to DOS mode. You can even say no to many of the drivers.
In the DOS mode you should easily be able to remove files.

Of course you will need a little DOS knowledge.
There are direct steps to move between file folders, see what is in each folder and delete them.

These simple commands are available on the internet.

If you run into a big problem with it, e-mail me you specific tries.

I will bet, because you do have an "H" drive, that you have a several partitions on one drive. And you have filled up the other drives.

Several things to consider.
The noise is probably the heads seeking on the drive. Might be that you need to clean up the drive. Go to the drive properties, tool and run cleam up and scan disk.

To defragment, most defragers, Microsoft included need sapace to work, usually 15% free space. If the clean up gives you 15% free space, try defragging it again. If the space was not achieved, try moving some files from "H" to another drive. If you still do not have space, buy another drive and install it.

I have 5 drives and all of them have over 50% free space. Large drives are cheap now days.

Good luck

if your pc isnt allowin you to free space on ur hard drive why dont u just buy some more memory and instal it on ur pc... ofcourse for that youre gonna have to take ur pc to the shop... that should help! and if u still wana try n clear the space lets see how u can... turn ur pc on and dont open any other windows... jus go on the start up menu .. click control panel and go to ur Hdrive.. double click on it...itll open up and then u can clear watever u dont need... just make sure to avoid it makin the least noise and freezin up jus do it very patiently and wait before every window opens up...i hope that helps otherwise ur just gonna have to do the former option i gave u... good luck !

1. Click on your start button 2.click on control panel 3. wait for another screen to appear 4. click on performance and maintenance 5. click on free up space on your hard disk; this may take you a few minutes. When the small screen is finished a larger screen will appear. Scroll down to temporary Internet files and then click one time just to highlight it then click OK. When that's finished click on performance and maintenance again. This time when larger screen appears scroll down to compressed old files and just click to highlight and then press OK. When that session is finished, scroll down to REARRANGE ITEMS ON YOUR HARD DISK TO MAKE PROGRAMS RUN FASTER. When another screen appears just click on DEFRAGMENT. This program may take about 10 minutes to get finished. When defragment in done, you have just cleaned up your hard drive without deleting anything. This process is just increasing your file memory.

sounds like your harddrive is full....you will need to delete some files on it. is your operating system on this drive? if not you can go to my computer and open the drive there....if not i recommend trying that....in the future monitor your hard drive space so that you dont have this same problem later on
