"The Zodiac" was not such a popular movie at all (hardly any detail can be found). And the "Zodiac" (2007) is more popular with a different storyline most likely and plus better actors. The new one is more thrilling, too. However, they are both based on a true story of a serial killer few decades a ago and was created by the assistance of a few people involved or living during the time and place.

they have different characters and plot lines but they both include serial killers that is why people got confused. i heard the new one is better.
