I would say that my favorite period of history is during the Civil Rights movement. I like how they fight to get the rights they deserve, the African Americans and the Women a couple years later. They are smart, good people and deserve those rights. Thats what I would choose.

Many people say World War II because they watch too many movies. Only a WW2 vet or their family can tell you a real reason why it is so special. As for myself... it would be the 1200s. A lot of interesting stuff happened then in the West before Europeans came and screwed it all up.

I think the most interesting is the few centuries following the fall of the Roman Empire (even after it moved to Constantinople). The Romans had great knowledge of many different fields, but 'progress' seemed to either stop or change into 'doomgress' during that period/

U.S civil war history without a doubt.

But reading history of the French kings Louis XV to Louis XVI and biographies is cool.

Ancient Rome. Can't really explain why, but the whole period I find absolutely fascinating. And 16th century England. I love the Tudors.

That would have to be 1934 to 1945. because of the great depression and WW2. The world was on the brink and America had never been so united. It seems like we are at our best when we are at our worst.
