So I'm taking the SATS next Saturday, and I am soo scared! I haven't studied at ALL, although I've taken many practice exams and took prep courses. I don't feel like theyve helped me though. The highest I scored on my proctored exams was a 1600, and that is NOT good for the UCs I plan to apply to, like UC Santa Barbara, Irvine, etc. I have a 3.8 GPA though, but that doesn't mean I can get a low SAT score. Does anyone have any tips or tricks? If you took it, how was it? Hard? Like other than the eat a good breakfast, get a good nights sleep thing. Should I go to my school's spirit competition the night before SATS? How high does my SAT score have to be in relation to my GPA? I am sooo scared, please help!

If you took practice exams and took prep courses, then you HAVE studied in a sense. Don't feel like you're underprepared, since you have been working on it. Use the knowledge that you've worked hard to boost your confidence, especially on test day.

Go over all of the past exams--review both the questions you got right AND the ones you got wrong. Sometimes you get something right because you just guessed correctly; that's not good enough, b/c you can't rely on doing that on the real test. For all the questions, try to really understand why the right answer is right. Look for patterns in what types of questions you tend to get wrong, and then work extra hard on those.

If you don't do well on Saturday, you can retake the SAT. You might also consider retaking the SAT course; see if they'll let you retake it for free. If not, check out TestMasters (testmasters180.com). I took them for an LSAT course and thought their philosophy of teaching was the best idea ever. I wished I had taken them for the SAT as well.

Don't do anything the night before; just make sure you get enough rest. Set everything aside for the next day so you're not scrambling to find your photo ID, pencils, etc. Pack some snacks and drinks for during the breaks too.

there really isn't a way to prepare or be ready for the SAT. It's just what you know. It took about 3-4 hours but you get breaks. I'm not gonna lie and say it wasn't all that bad, but it kinda was

being so nervous like you are is making it worse.. but i took it without studying and got an ok score on it.. i had a 4.0 GPA (on 5.0 scale) so.. just relax and if u feel confident with the practice tests then you'll do fine

Hey...I am taking the Sat's next saturday, too. The best advice I can give you is not to panic. Just read everything you can get your hands on between now and then. And it not hard. Its just they throw alot at you at once...
