sometimes it late for no reason. could be stress. or lost weiht, or exercised a lot. if you havent had sex u dont have a lot to worry about. if it doesnt come this month i wouldnt freak out but see a doc just for a regular pelvic exam. most likely they will just say to wait it out.

Depending on when you ovulated, is when you will have your period. There are two major halves of your cycle, before ovulation and after ovulation. Part 1 starts the day you get your period and that lasts until you ovulate. That amount of time is generally 14 days (that is textbook, and of course rarely actually happens hehe), but that can vary quite a bit depending on stress, illness, traveling, weight loss or gain, exercise... Usually ovulation will be delayed and occasionally, you won't ovulate at all.
This brings me to part 2 of the period which goes from when you ovulate to when you menstruate again! Once you ovulate, you menstruate in 12-16 days (or so) and if that is extended, then you are probably pregnant (which, sounds like you aren't).
Anywho, it sounds like you have nothing to worry about, although if you are worried, you can go to the doctor, but most likely she'll tell you the same! Check out the book in the sources, it ROCKS and is easy to read and tells you everything you ever wanted to know about your period. That's where I learned this info from.

No, it's not that abnormal. Periods can come earlier or later due to stress, traveling etc. Wait another few weeks, if by 3-4 weeks it still does not show up, see a gyno. This can be a sign of hormonal imbalance.

no, its common to have some irregularities for the first like 5-6 years of your period. if you haven't had sex, you definitely aren't pregnant so its probably hormonal. if you go for more than 3 months without having a period, go to a gynecologist. he/she may be able to put you on birth control to regulate your periods.

It could be delayed due to stress. I wouldn't worry about it too much until it is a few weeks late.
