A lot of the silly warning labels you see are actually on imported items! And the only reason they have them is because people will sue you for any reason these days - including the hot coffee being hot.

take it from an european - yes!
first of all because mcdonalds and all the other ones put the same warning signs on german cups as they put on american ones, and then because europeans read about how much money some americans get just because their commom sense doesn't seem to work and they want that money too ;)
but the bigger problem in europe are the crazy laws... (seriously, what in the WORLD do we need a pickle-size-law for??? and they really have that *argh*)

Okay, I just have to let this out: My coworker was telling me the other day that some chick sued the company that made her microwave - there was no warning label to tell her not to microwave her cat, which she apparently did because it was wet. Yes, America is as litigious society...
