The scar is really not skin. im guessing you mean the scab. or i could be wrong. but it just washes away when ever you shower or wash your hands. your body has a natural healing process. your body first protects your scar, then covers your scar and then once healed, the scab (dried blood) will wash away.

The skin that goes off the scar? scar is tissue used to fill in the gap of missing skin. First you have injury... then you have immune response... then you have fibrin that comes and fills the gaps... the scap protects while the scar tissue heals.
