Personally I don't know any gay, but I heard from friends that there's a gay bar in KL called Frangipani Bar (25 Changkat Bukit Bintang, 50200 Kuala Lumpur). I'm not sure where is the exact location either but I've attached a map at the link below and a site with a list of bars and clubs in KL

The last time i heard about any gay club in KL was at Blue Boy Mansion in Bukit Bintang..but that was years ago..i'm not so sure whether the club still existing.. but no worries as a lot of gays normally hangout at happening clubs around the city..and so you could meet them there..

There are different types of people in Malaysia. However the government have yet to legalised any of the places you may wish to visit. Asian societies at large still very conservatives at taking in lesbian and gay communities.
You may need to exercise your judgement in patronising such places as you may violate some laws and regulations.

Correction, I am not a resident of Malaysia and never will.
Pondans are really hot and there are lots in Malaysia especially Kuala Lumpur. It is a well known fact that Malaysians and Indonesians don't talk about LGBT but hey, they are really into it and are among the best in Asia. Just be careful becasue there are lots of robbers especially at night. I was robbed in the streets of Kuala Lumour while bar hopping.
