Odd question, but probably Isaac Newton. He was functioning more independently and built his theories from a foundation that was less well-layed than Einstein. Einstein's theories are groundbreaking, but they function from an already understood basis of physics. Also, Einstein never could come to grips with quantum mechanics. Newton's advances carried pretty much all of physics for 200 years.

Newton experienced the reality of Gravity. Einstien had to envision, look into the future to find his. therefor I would say that Einstien was more intelligent.

In my opinion, Einstein. (But they were both highly intelligent!)

Newton came up with theories and formulas that describe phenomena visible to the eye - he observed something, and thought about how it happened.

Einstein's theories were mostly about things you cannot just observe with the naked eye - he did his famous "though experiments" to come up with theories. he made many predictions that, at his time, science couldn't test yet, but many years later, when they could, scientists tried it and saw that he was right.

I think he must have been more intelligent because he had much less to go on and had to do it all with his mind.

(Btw - "Einstein", not "Einstien".)

Only einstein came up with the theory of relativity and that is more intense area than gravity.

Einstein by a few

it doesnt really matter who was more intellegent. newton came up with theories that led einstein to discoveries. they both greatly influenced today's scientific fields

Newton. Because he had much less technology and communication (modern media) available to him.

EINSTEIN! HE DISCOVERED RELATIVITY E=MC^2! NEWTON JUST DISCOVERED GRAVITY BY AN ACCIDENT, AN APPLE JUST FELL ON HIS HEAD AND BOOM, GRAVITY! DID U KNOW THAT EINSTEIN IS LEFTY? MOST GENIUSES ARE!
