My ball in about 3 years old, about 6 feet and I just noticed something unusal about her. Her underbelly is very pink, and she also has a few red spots on her belly. They don't really look like blister they aren't raised or anything. They are just red splotches. I don't think it could be from a burn because she doesn't have a undertank heater or a heat rock, just a heat lamp. She also didn't eat when I tried to feed her, and her scales on her belly seem really dry or something funny? If anyone knows what this might be from please let me know as soon as possible.

Ball Python Pink Belly

Does your Ball Python spend alot of time in the water bowl or is the cage floor wet or damp? It sounds like a bacterial infection caused by moisture. If the snake does spend too much time in the bowl soaking, try to limit the amount of the body that has access to the water (a clean rock or some other object in the bowl to allow for drinking only and not soaking). Try to keep the enclosure dry and if that is the problem, the irritation should clear by itself with the next shedding. Keep an eye on the problem and if blisters do develop, there are meds that you can purchase or see a good reptile vet...

You need to get her heat source further away from her.The pink color on her belly is like a sunburn,if it gets worse you can kill her.Try giving her a cool bath to help with the irritation,Cold/luke warm water only! no soaps, nothing just about 2 inches of water in the bath.Another thing you could try is dampening the soil in her cage.

It could be a paracite infection. Clean its cage, and be shure it has a water dish large enough to fully get in. Also it could be from malnutrition, before the splotches showed up, was it eating well? Finally it could be a skin infection, take the same steps as for a parasite infection. For iether infection it will need medication

your snake is probably about to shed, their underbellies turn pink, their skin turns pale, and they loose an appitite. as for the red spots treat your snake for mites, usually my snake will get a few red spots under the scales when she has mites, if you dont see any treet her anyways. if you know these are not the causes take your snake to a vet. hope i could help
