who play bass on echoes roger waters or david gilmour?

i ask this because on wikipedia says that david gilmour play fretless bass and roger bass,and during the verses kinda sounds like a fretless

Roger Waters played the bass for Pink Floyd in all the songs up to Animals, where he played rhythm guitar in Dogs I believe.

Roger Water was the bass player.
David Gilmour has always been the lead guitarist.
I'm going with Roger Waters ;-)
