They are the same price. I'm just concerned about reliability and productivity.

I'd be a little concerned with the low HD rpm.

If you plan on gaming I'd go 7200 rpm

Other than that they both sound pretty good. Are they priced the same?

I seen most people bring HP products to the tech store. I wouldn't trust these brand with my own money.

For Sony? I haven't heard any complaint yet.

Did you look at Dell laptops?

Far as the best laptop, I choose

1. Sony VGN-FE890
120 gb hdd 5400 rpm
Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 1.83 ghz
Nvidia geforce go 7400
2 gb ram

Of the two, the HP definitely seems to be the best, as far as specs go: it has a bigger hard drive as well as a faster processor.

Also, while they may have improved over time, everyone I've ever known with a Sony VAIO mostly seems to have experienced some problems with it. I'm not telling you to avoid them, but you may want to check recent reviews and such before making any decision.

The HP. It has more space, and a better CPU. Although you should get a laptop with a 7200 rpm hdd.

As far as which one is more powerfull? The HP is the one that I would go with. It has a bigger hard drive and a faster CPU.

As far as which brand to choose? I wouldn't pick either personally.
