Well, this probably debatable and depends on the circumstances. Normally it is considered that Magnets and Electronics not mix. I really have not studied the Theory of a Flash Drive, but, assume it could be affected by a magnet. I do know I can mess up a Hard Drive, RAM and the Read/Write of a CD Drive with Magnetics. Also, I have heard people say that a computer case with magnetics on the door caused them trouble with things until they removed the magnetics. I have not had this problem though my case door have four magnetics. So, I will say after all this "Babble"; "it depends on the circumstances".
