My next-door neighbour snores, really loud, really foul noises. I think his head must be directly behind the wall behind my head. He seems to sleep more than 12 hours a day as well so it's unavoidable. It doesn't just stop me sleeping, it makes me feel sick it's such a gross snore, and I've spent some nights on the sofa. Other than earplugs, is there anything I can do? Does it get covered by any kind of noisy neighbour law?.... I'm guessing not... HELP!!

no, do not involve the law. Buy some nasal strips and politely ask if he would mind trying them. The way you approach him will help greatly. Unless he is really stubborn or downright ignorant, he will get the message. good luck

It is really tricky. is he married or did his wife leave him bcos he snores and drove her quite mad!! sozlol
It could be awful embarassing for him and u but at the same time
ur sanity is a priority.
otherwise u may end up thinking:-
"STOP SNORING OR I WILL KILL YOU"
LOL!!
or at least be tempted.
ok thinking cap on. ignore the above it was just to try to cheer u up!!
options
u could move - last resort I suppose and probly not practical and why should u.
u could invite a friend/relative to stay overnight and then in the morning this person goes round and does the dirty work for u!!
erm, i know it sounds a bit cowardly but it would avoid the embarassment of a face to face with him.
they would have to return subsequently with information as to prevention, most conveniently ahem, accrued.

fall asleep listening to music thru headphones, i.e classical, especially strings.

ear plugs

any good??

oh well, i did try and i do sympathise.
hugs and earplugs

I was once spending the night on my brother's couch. The doberman was snoring on the settee. The next day, everyone tried to say it was me. Maybe the man has a Bull Mastiff hiding over there.
Otherwise, I am afraid you are going to have to somehow psych yourself up to thinking it is a comforting sound or go barking mad.

I'm guessing you are in a one bed room apt.?If so you might think about making your living room a bed room and the bed room the living room.It sounds kinda strange but drastic measures might be what you need. I don't think any laws apply to snoring. Good Luck
