a friend of mine borrowed $30 three months ago. everytime i tell her i need the money back she says ok tomorrow but i never get it. i've tried being mean about it and that didnt work, ive tried casually reminding her and that didnt work. i know she has the money, she just doesnt want to pay me back. what makes it harder is that now we're not as great of friends as we were. i want my money back. what should i do to get it back without coming off to meanly?

listen! as long as you will run after this $30 you will go nowhere, b'cause your friend is taking you for a ride! try to ignore it and think of it as a bad debt you will certainly receive more than this like something falling down from heaven and you will be amuse at the reaction of that foe-friend. TAKE MY WORDS FOR IT. remove this 30 note from your mind now and smile to the future!

lol let it go for a while then ask to borrow $30 - but seriously just forget about it - or if you want to be mean about it go up to her in front of her best friends and 'remind' her..

I would let the $30 go, along with the friend.
And, learn from this that it is NEVER a good thing to loan money to friends, PERIOD.
If you want to help them, guide them to other means of self-sustenance.

You can still give money to friends who need it but only when you don't need it back. As for that friend let it go. You deserve better.
