it really depends on how old ur child is. Also you can give them a second account on ur computer and set the security to high so that he/she cant download anything or go to any sites that arent rated ok for kids without a parents password. Also ur child's school website might have a few that are ok. here are a couple that were on my son's elementary school's website.
