How am I supposed to respect my elders, when they were too busy having babies and becoming comfortable with their color T.V.s to pay attention to what the elite where doing? Ex. building a nuclear arsenal and power plants capable of causing global extinction. Or channeling the majority known wealth into selected groups. (Just a couple of the big ones).

What does it take for a populace to dismantle and rebuild a disaterously off track government that is no longer running with the peoples interst in mind?

Well Rebel, you really still aren't old enough to understand the issue. The combined Nuclear arsenal of the US and Russia has been decreased to about 20% of their former levels. There isn't enough weapons between the two countries for Mutually Assured Destruction anymore. There are new designs for nuclear power plants that make them failsafe (interesting article in Popular Science, look it up because I'm too lazy in front of my TV). The channeling of wealth is just as much fault of the people as those who rule them.

If you want to untrack the government there is only one way. Get involved and get all your like minded friends involved. The only way to get those out of politics that are only in it for themselves is do not support them. It starts at t local level and withing the parties. Or create a new party.

Good luck.

Edit - I understand your concerns about the ancient technology used in current nuclear plants in the US. The cool thing about the new failsafe technology is that smaller amounts of uranium is contained within Graphite balls. Each ball contains only enough uranium that if a runaway reactions occurs it can be contained within that ball. Same for disposal. Its not perfect but the balls are supposed to be able to contain the uranium for 10,000 plus years.

Now, are you a man made Global Warming proponent? If so do you realize that the majority of our energy is still supplied by Coal and Oil powered plants. Supposedly these plants are a major contributor to the CO2 problem(Nuclear energy is a 0% producer of CO2). Even if it doesn't turn out that man makes enough CO2 to cause the problem do you understand that these types of plants are the biggest contributor to the acid rain problem that spreads over a huge region? So even though the current nuclear technology is deplorable when it comes to producing waste, the amount of waste produced and the area it is contained to is dwarfed by the area affected by fossil fuel burning plants.

There are no easy answers. Just get educated and try to figure out whats best. And you can email me anytime.

People don't run the government, money runs the government. You must convince those with money to spoon feed the right message to the population. To control votes you must buy into one or two issues that the majority holds. You can them make them do anything you want.

So, the US has nukes. Better us than the terrorists. And how exactly does the government channel wealth into select groups?
