Turtles dont really make good pets. Each variety of turtle needs different things to thrive. They need a combination of protein and vegetable matter to be healthy. That means bugs and plants from where they live in nature.

Keeping a turtle is just giving an innocent animal a slow death. Do it a favor and let it go where it can thrive. It will save you coming home one day to find a dead creature, and that wouldnt be fair.
