Depending on your home ballpark, rest of your lineup, etc. I'd have to go with lefty power as a general rule. There's no questioning the versatility of a great switch-hitter (Mickey Mantle, Eddie Murray, Bernie Williams), but when you think of carry-a-team-force.....Babe Ruth, Barry Bonds, Reggie Jackson, etc. I think it becomes an easier choice.

Switch hitters are Lance Berkman, Mickey Mantle, Mick Schidmt, and Ozzie Smith. Lefty hitters are Jeremy Giambi, Ken Griffey Jr, Tony Gywmn, Ryan Howard, Reggie Jackson, Ricky Henderson, Babe Ruth, Darrly Strawberry, Grady Sizemore, and etc. Im gonna go for lefties

The best switch hitter today is definitely Lance Berkman. Best ever was Mickey Mantle. Babe Ruth was the best lefty.
