and my question is this.... can he just go to a dr. and start over with the insurance we do have to get this surgery? california.

My husband got ahold of an attourney and told him everything, he told us he'd let us know if he would take his case in a week. cross your fingers!!!!

Jason, no he does not have a neck problem. Yes both hands.

Yes. It is best to start over with a second opinion.
They deny it and you accept it.
Keep pushing. They can't deny covering the surgery unless you let them.

I'm not sure being I'm from a different state, but my ex had two knee surgery's on work comp and he still has trouble with his knee..was supposed to have a MRI and possible 3rd surgery, however he was also denied. If you have a good attorney, they should be able to help you appeal and hopefully you will be able to have the denial reversed.

"Hands" for carpal tunnel, meaning right AND left??. . . just a little advice: in my clinical experience, anybody who has "carpal tunnel" in both hands has a neck problem until i can prove that they don't. If your husband is having symptoms in both hands, please don't go into surgery unless his neck has been ruled out.
