I'm from Greece and i want to go to London, to The Cross club (near York Way and Goods Yard) and i would like some information. First of all which is the nearest airport there and which airliner offers this transportation from Athens or Thessaloniki. Additionally i would to ask if there's a relatively good hotel around that area.
Additionally, if someone knows, how much money should i need for a 3-day trip to London (without hotel expenses and club admissions).

Hi,

The Cross is in the King's Cross area of London. If you fly in to Luton, get a train from Luton Parkway airport (there should be a shuttle bus to the station) to Kings Cross Thameslink. Will cost approx £13 each way and take about 35 mins. If you fly in to Heathrow, get on the underground (known here as the tube) to King's Cross...it'll cost around £5 and will take about an hour...stay on the same Piccadilly line all the way.

You could fly in to Stansted but you'll have to changes to get to King's Cross...Stansted Express to Liverpool St (approx £15 one way) then take the tube (Circle line) to King's Cross (approx £3). Total travel time around 1 hour.

Check this website for hotels but note that at the moment it's filtered for East London as that's where I live whereas you want central London...

They give plenty of options with varying prices. Or check chains such as Ramada, Hilton, Travelodge, Holiday Inn / Holiday Express. Or pick up a copy of the Lonely planet guidebook - they should be able to give you some options.

Try easyjet for cheap flights - they're based at Luton. British Airways fly to Heathrow. Ryanair fly from Stansted. There must be some Greek airlines that come here too ;-) Avoid flights to Gatwick if you can - it's billed as London but is miles out to the south.

Buy a one-day, zones 1-2, travel card for each day that you're here. It won't get you to Heathrow - zone 6 or to Luton or Stansted (which are actually out of London) but will be the cheapest way to travel around whilst you're here as it can be used on the tube, trains and buses.

Depending on what you want and where you go, breakfast can cost anywhere from £2 to £10, for lunch a sandwich & soft drink will be around £3 - 5, but you could spend more if you sit down somewhere. Allow £20+ for dinner. A pint of beer is around £3-4 depending on where you drink. East London (Aldgate, Whitechapel) is cheap and a great place for a curry.

Entry to museums is free, other attractions cost around £12-15.

Hope this helps.
