One needs enough money to pay bills and have essentials such as clothes and shelter, and food covered. Beyond that it is all gravy on the potatoes of life.

Money will not buy you all the happiness that you would expect. It may fell pretty good for a while because you will feel secure until it is spent. Money does not buy any kind of happiness. Look at some people who have money (who are loaded). Donald Trump for one, you may think with all that money he is happy but, he is not.Look at the kennedys do you think they are happy? I think not. All money `really does it give you a little bit of power for a little while. After everything is gone see how you feel. What I am trying to say money will not get you what you really want and need. It's better to go without and be happy than have all the money in the world and be unhappy.

Absolutely! In fact, that's kind of the way I live. Every day I go full tilt doing the best I can for the people around me, and it's amazing how the things I need just kind of fall into my lap. (This is not my computer, for example...) Ronald Reagan used to call it "trickle down." My cousin calls it, "You can't outgive God." Around here people are so blessed that you can live like "royalty" on their discards, as they rush off to buy other new things (and keep the economy going, bless 'em!). When you don't limit your life to trying to own and then properly manage everything in sight, oddly enough, you find that very literally you feel "the world is yours." And, incidentally, that may be why homeless people don't like to sleep indoors. Believe it or not, that actually limits their horizons, so that at a very basic level they feel that they have less, not more.

Money can't buy happiness either.
Happiness has nothing to do with money.
Happiness is an attitude.

it does not buy happiness true, but it does buy security, food and warmth - and choices! so no, I would not be happy with no money at all.
