If I take birth control pills over a long period of time, will I see any differences? They have a small trace of estrogen in them.

Birth control pills are very different from how they used to be made. Now they contain little estrogen and would do little to stop masculization or induce feminization. The best they could do is make you feel naseous and sick, and worst could be fatal, although that would have to be large doses for a long period of time.

If you want estrogen talk to a gender therapist, if they believe that hormones would help you they will prescribe them, which is far cheaper and safer than doing it yourself. If this is an impossiblility, check out www.tsroadmap.com and see the section about ordering hormones online. Bewarned that depending on where you live it could be illegal, and it is more expensive and dangerous, but sometimes it is the only way. Best of luck, and if you want any advice or something to talk to feel free to e-mail me.

BIRTH control pills will definalty change you, but you need a testosterone blocker for a full effeft, that and most birth control pills have progestin in them which is really not great for your health, if your trying to do this by yourself try to find hormone replacement that is pure estrogen and injectable because its less stress on your liver

No. You need to find a M.D. to put you on H.R.T. (Hormone Replacement Therapy) But first you need to find a therapist that deals with T/G T/S issues and get a letter of recommendation before a M.D. will place you on hormones. If you don't have insurance get ready to spend a lot on medical bills and lab test. You will be prescribe Estrogen and most likely Spironolactone (Testosterone Blocker) I will however not give the dose's sense self medicating is very dangerous

Don't waste your time and money on birth control pills. Get on HRT.

Other than getting noticably poorer?

Not really. Assuming you are male, your body has a
fully functioning hormone factory going full tilt to
counteract anything like that.

go see a doctor as there are many things that can go wrong with taking hormones
like blood clots
they can kill if you take to much
so go see your doctor and tell them to start you on hormones
they will give you a few blood test and start you off
do not be silly with your body you one have one
good luck
