I have been told if u commit sucide you go to hell. Well the people in the WTC who jumped rather than burn alive commited sucide( didnt mean to offend anyone if i did, sorry) so did they go to hell or what.
this is a tough one b/c my Bible teacher couldnt answere it.

that interpretation is absed on mankinds reading and understanding of the bible, MY interpretationwould be that if you committed suicide with malacious intent you would be violating the bibles intent. i would think jesus would understand that they had no choice and have mercy on them
i dotn think your commetns offensive and no apoligies are necessary, i do think your pastor was a bit narrow minded or devoid of insight to nto have provided you with a better answer

Do not look for any organized relgion's doctrine to be entirely
self-consistant.
That's not what religion is for.
Religion offers spiritual guidance, gives you a sense of community
and a common sense of purpose.
None of the big religions are entirely free of inconsistancies.

I don't think they were committing suicide. They were trying to get out of the burning building and that was the only way out. Don't be stupid.

No, they will not go to hell, they had no choice. it was a death or death situation. If they had stayed in the building it would also have been suicide.

well i dont believe in hell, but according to the bible, yes they went to hell, cuz it was up to god to decide how they died, not them
