Is this considered racist?

Okay, so at lunch yesterday I was talking to my friend and I asked her weather she would prefer to be black or white. Now, there were two black girls sitting across from me and then the white girl I was talking to just pointed it out to me. So I was like "Oops!" and shut my mouth. I didn't mean for it to be racist but I said, "I'm glad I'm not black because I like being white".

Okay, so today at lunch I was talking and then after lunch I walked with one of the girls who probably found the thing I said offensive. I told her I was very sorry and didn't mean for it to be racist, and she was okay with it and forgave me.

So, the next girl, I sat next to her in Geometry class, then I finally plucked up the courage to apologize to her. "I said, I'm really Sorry about yesterday and-" She cuts me off and says something like, "Sure, excuse me" in a vague tone. So, not only does this situation make her mad, but now I am angry with her for throwing my apology in my face.

What should I do?

Well first off, drop the anger bit, she could be offended or not, this is just your interpretation of her actions. In fact, she could probably care less what you were saying to begin with. I say, let it drop. You did the honorable and polite thing by apologizing and trying to explain that you did not mean to hurt feelings, and beyond that, you will only be making a mountain out of a molehill.

Your question/comment was kind of racist but for the most part no one can blame you for liking who you are. I like being Black and don't have a problem with saying it but I wouldn't go as far as making it out to be either Black or White. It has the good vs evil undertone.
