Whenever I try to record me saying something with my mic, it works, but in bad quality. And I bought my new one for 40 bucks.
But then I unplugged it, and the computer picked up my voice, so im guessing that's why it sounds so low-quality. Anyway to fix that? The computer picking up your voice by itself, without the mic?

sounds like you have a built-in mic - these are often good enough for most tasks. To see more about balancing the sound from different mic's and sound sources take a look at my troubleshooting guide:

Are you using a laptop or webcam?

The reason is that some settings well cause a double wave record that can cause it to be "bloated".

Try a another recording software like Audacity. I have problem with Sony because they do exactly as I explained.

You could lowers your Stereo Mix volume in the Mic volume setting but leaving the Mic up. This could help keep that waves from unnessary bloats.
